National Trust Curator, Bristol Consultancy Hub, Gloucestershire Portfolio

“Curators in the South West region work with an amazing variety of properties. The region includes 27 major historic houses, over 1,300 Grade I, II* and II listed buildings, over 600 scheduled ancient monuments, and the National Trust’s largest tenanted housing portfolio. The region encompasses 39 Grade I, II* and II registered parks and gardens, representing nearly 30% of all designated gardens in the Trust, as well as nearly 300 miles of coastland, making up approximately 19% of the total South West coastline.

There are many opportunities to bring your skills and experience into different and perhaps new contexts. The Gloucestershire portfolio is focused upon the Cotswolds, it includes the world famous 20th century gardens at Hidcote, the theatrical Snowshill Manor of Charles Wade and the fascinating Chedworth Roman Villa. The portfolio comprises many landscape sites, such as Woodchester Park or the Stroud commons, and numerous estate and vernacular buildings including the famous Arlington Row in Bibury. Curating in Gloucestershire is varied and fulfilling, with many opportunities to make a significant impact at properties for our visitors.”
