Babs Horton was born in Wales and grew up in London. She attended the University College of St Mark & St John and has taught for over 30 years in schools with expertise in the areas of special needs and mental health.
She spent two years as the Royal Literary Fund Writing Fellow at the University of Plymouth working with students on all aspects of writing. She has also lectured in English and Creative Writing and supervised MA students.
