Born in Rochdale, Brian read Natural Sciences at Cambridge and Operational Research at Lancaster. He worked for 17 years at British Airways before setting up a company helping businesses enhance their creativity and problem solving.
Brian has written for newspapers and magazines for 20 years and specializes in writing popular science books with 19 titles. Publications includeThe Times, The Observer, The Wall Street Journal, Playboy and Good Housekeeping. He has spoken at the Royal Institution, the Science Museum, the British Library and schools and libraries across the country. Most recently he appeared on the BBC teaching Robert Peston quantum physics.
