KM Elkes is an author and journalist based in Bristol.
He began writing fiction seriously in 2011-12 and has since been published in a number of literary journals and short fiction anthologies in the UK, North American and Australia. He has also won several short fiction competitions in the UK and Ireland.
Some of his short stories and flash fiction have found their way onto school curriculums in the US and Hong Kong.
Recently, he began teaching, including creative writing workshops and (in 2016) as a guest lecturer at Bath Spa University.
Away from writing, he likes to travel to remote places, play team sports and make music on the bassoon – though rarely all at the same time.
