We’re delighted to announce that Amita Murray has been appointed as writer-in-residence at the University of Plymouth supported by Literature Works. This exciting programme is back for another year to inspire the creative writers of the future who are studying English and Creative Writing at the university to get writing.
Engaging with students in a programme including workshops, talks and blog posts from October 2018 – May 2019, we wish Amita the very best of luck! Look out for Amita’s work appearing our website and around the University of Plymouth campus soon.
Amita is an award winning short story writer. Her collection, Marmite and Mango Chutney won the SI Leeds Award in 2016. Her debut novel, The Trouble with Rose, will be published by Harper Collins in 2019.
Her first event as writer-in-residence will be a short story workshop on 31st October. It will be held in the Babbage building, room 416, University of Plymouth campus.
