How to apply
The Annual Fund is now open for 2020. This year, we are particularly interested in projects that prioritise reader development and demonstrate innovative approaches to reading. We also want to hear from organisations who are planning digital responses to the ongoing Covid_19 pandemic and resulting lockdown. Please note that we cannot offer funding outside of the application windows, so do plan ahead to avoid disappointment. We do not offer retrospective funding, so please only apply for activities that take place after the funding deadline.
We welcome also all applications which meet our criteria.
Funding is available to groups, companies and not-for-profit organisations based in the South West of England to develop literature activity, provided your activity is carried out on a not-for-profit basis. You do not need to be a registered charity to apply. A panel comprised of Literature Works’ staff and trustees assess all applications.
We are looking for high quality new ideas and projects benefitting people where funding is otherwise hard to find. We are less likely to fund a well-established activity that is already significantly funded or has a long track record of major funding.
