Weston Writers’ Nights

Weston Writers’ Nights aims to increase the opportunities for people in Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding areas to engage with creative writing, by providing supportive spaces for writers of all abilities to come together and learn about the writing world while developing their work. They produce evening events, writing workshops, a printed magazine, open mic nights and work with the local community, giving local emerging writers a platform to develop and showcase their work.
They have received funding for their postal exchange workshop and story trail.
Speaking of the grant, Jasmin Perry said:
We’re thrilled to have received funding from Literature Works to create an offline postal exchange workshop to inspire new writers to pick up their pens and start writing, as well as a story trail in Weston-super-Mare, which will help us to raise the profile of local writers’ work within the community. We’re excited to engage with our local community in new ways, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in much of our work moving online, and are so grateful to Literature Works for supporting us to make this happen.
