The Author of Tomorrow is short story competition for young writers aged 21 and under.

-Entries must be written in English
– Writers must submit in the age category (11 and under, 12-15, 16-21) they fulfil at time of submission
-Cash prizes, book tokens and digital publication to be won.

Ten shortlisted writers get to work with a professional editor and are published by the Wilbur and Niso Smith Foundation’s partners at Worldreader.

Stories from past winners have been read by over half a million times by young readers across the world. They’re free to access anywhere there is internet and are part of Worldreader’s global literacy initiatives and part of the Foundation’s work to increase literacy.
