Deputy Director role at Arvon’s Totleigh Barton writing house

Arvon are looking for a new Deputy Director to to manage day-to-day operations at their Totleigh Barton writing house, and those interested should apply by 8th November 2023. Here are the details:

Job title: Deputy Director (Totleigh Barton)
Hours: Part Time, 30 hours per week
Base: Totleigh Barton, Sheepwash, Beaworthy Devon EX21 5NS. You will be expected to travel within the UK to visit our writing houses from time to time (usually twice a year).
Salary: £22,180 per annum (equivalent to £27,725 per annum for a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week).
Start: As close as possible to November 2023

Arvon is recruiting for a Deputy Director to manage the day-to-day operations of Totleigh Barton, their Devon writing house. This role is key in ensuring the smooth running of Arvon’s courses and retreats, providing a welcoming and hospitable environment for our writers, and overseeing the maintenance of the buildings and facilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, practical and organisational skills, a commitment to inclusivity and a passion for enabling creativity for all.
