This year’s Plymouth Art Weekender, a weekend packed with visual arts exhibitions, commissions and experiences is just over two weeks away. The three day event takes place between 22nd – 24th September 2017 and showcases Plymouth as a destination for the arts on a local, national and international scale.

Here at Literature Works, we were interested to find out about one commission in particular, The Park Bench Reader. Across the weekend, artist and writer Dr Bram Thomas Arnold will be taking to the benches of Plymouth’s Armada way to read from some of the world’s best-loved literature.

Ahead of his commission, Bram will be at Plymouth Athenaeum tomorrow Tuesday 5th September 2017 giving a performance and lecture which introduces The Park Bench Reader and let’s you know how you can get involved.

If you’re interested in shared reading and would like to find out more, join Bram and get reading.

When? Tuesday 5th September 2017, 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm

Where? Plymouth Athenaeum

Entry is free
