Event Website

On the centenary of the poet Jack Clemo’s birth, Luke Thompson and Isabel Galleymore are hosting a writing workshop for poetry and prose in the heart of the china clay and mining landscape.

You will be introduced to the poetry of the place and invited to consider the minerals and the metaphors you might extract.

We will take a walk through the park, from the flooded pit of Lansalon to the viewing platform above Wheel Martyn clay works, taking a note of this strange, broken landscape.

All participants will be invited to read their work at the evening’s celebratory events.

Booking is required.
Please bring appropriate clothing and footwear.
