A night of poetry and prose with Sarah Cave and Ben Smith at the independent bookshop, Lost in Books, in Lostwithiel. Sarah will be reading from her first poetry collection ‘An Arbitrary Line’ and Ben will be reading from his debut novel ‘Doggerland’.

Ben Smith lives in Cornwall and is a lecturer in creative writing at Plymouth University, specializing in environmental literature and focusing particularly on oceans, climate change and the Anthropocene. His first poetry pamphlet, ‘Sky Burials’, was published by Worple Press and his poetry and criticism have appeared in various journals and anthologies. ‘Doggerland’ is his first novel.

Sarah Cave lives in a wood just outside Bodmin. She has two previously published pamphlets and her third, ‘like fragile clay’, an illustrated chapbook about the Moomins, was published by Guillemot Press in 2018. Her first collection, ‘An Arbitrary Line’, was published in November 2018 by Broken Sleep Books. Her second collection is due to be published at the end of 2019.
