The Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival is an annual event, taking place each September over four days.
Each year there is diverse line-up of authors, historians, poets, biographers and academics, that draw a buzzing audience to the seaside town.
Honorary Festival President is Budleigh resident Dame Hilary Mantel DBE who will be at two events this year. Also on the literary line0-up for 2015 is children’s author Judith Kerr, playwright David Hare, comedian Helen Lederer, textile artist Kaffe Fassett, cricket commentator David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd, debut author Paula Hawkins and local authors Christine Lee, Peter Nasmyth, Jed Falby and Paul Gravett.
Local schools also benefit from two special events – Diary of a Wimpy Kid and The Dinosaur that Pooped will be enjoyed by local school children during the four day festival.
