Join author Horatio Clare and illustrator Jane Matthews on stage to discover more about their uplifting, remarkable book Aubrey and the Terrible Yoot, the story of a rambunctious boy who needs to save his father from depression.

Long listed for the Carnegie Award, this is an imaginative, funny and thoughtful tale which will captivate every reader.

Horatio and Jane will explore the origins of the story, the relationship between author and illustrator and what inspires them both to create in words and pictures. With excerpts from the story read by Horatio and live drawing on stage by Jane Matthews, this event will give young readers a fascinating insight into the creative process of an author and illustrator.

Performance suitable for Years 4 – 6. Lasts approximately 1 hour, followed by book signing.
Every school that books will receive 2 free copies of Aubrey and the Terrible Yoot.
