Event Website

An open mic event to encourage writers of flash fiction in and around Bristol to perform, to share their work and to network. Flash fiction is short (under 500 words), brilliant and wants to be shared.

Come along to Alchemy 198 on Gloucester Road to hear or read flash fiction, stories so short that we can fill an evening with every kind of style and all kinds of voices. Readers can contact us in advance via Facebook or sign up on the night. Price on the door is £3.50 — unless you’re a reader, in which case that’s £0.00!

Flash in Hand is organised by Kevlin Henney, long-time flash-fictioneer and Flash 500 judge, and Grace Palmer, writer of novels to flash, director of Novel Nights and creative-writing tutor.
