Imagine Creative Writing Workshops are proud to offer a writers’ retreat between 12th – 16th March 2018
Experienced authors and creative writing tutors, Alison Knight and Jenny Kane, invite you to join them for 5 days of writing, author chatter, workshops and relaxation at the beautiful Victorian Northmoor Manor, Dulverton, Somerset,TA22 9QG
Open to beginners and experienced writers alike. (Non-writing partners or friends are very welcome.)

Imagines’ retreat gives you the chance to stay in a manor house untouched by time (But don’t panic, there is Wi-Fi). You can even indulge in the waters of an original Victorian bathtub…don’t forget your bubble bath!
With so many of the manor’s period features still in place, Northmoor is the ideal location for sparking inspiration and dreaming up new plotlines.
Experienced writers Alison Knight and Jenny Kane will be on hand to provide optional workshops, and a beautiful environment in which to write.
Alison and Jenny understand that writers need writers! Mutual support is the name of the game.

As well as giving you space to write, special guest, Kate Griffin; one of Faber & Faber’s most successful crime writers, will be joining the retreat on the Wednesday evening as guest speaker. Kate Griffin is the author of the brilliant Kitty Peck Mysteries.

We all know that authors suffer from imposter syndrome. “Why am I writing? I’m not good enough!” We all say it! Local well being mentor and fellow writer, Trina Stacey, will be available for optional one to one conversations about how to believe in your abilities, and convince you that you are allowed to do what makes you happy.

On the edge of Exmoor, near the popular village of Dulverton, there are miles of good walking land should you (or any non-writing friends or partners you wish to stay with you at Northmoor), want to explore. The pre-historic Tarr Steps are nearby and the local cafes are excellent.

At just £450 per person (less for non-writing partners) for 5 days in a Victorian Manor, with all food provided, three optional workshops, a chance to meet Kate Griffin and the opportunity to share writing ideas over a glass of wine (or two) is a BARGAIN.

So, if you want to treat yourself, or drop heavy Christmas or Birthday present hints to a loved one, then drop Imagine an email, and you’ll be sent all the information you need.
