Marlborough Literary Festival
2019 marks the 10th anniversary for this festival in the town with notable links to prolific paragons of literature from the past: William Golding and Siegfried Sassoon. A talk celebrating the link to William Golding has become a regular feature of the programme, with this year’s being given by Ben Okri. Other highlights include Carol Ann Duffy, Nathan Filer and a lively ‘translation duel’ involving the work of Elena Ferrante and book binding with Lori Sauer. For younger readers there are interactive events, storytelling and workshops.
