Billy Kahora will discuss selecting and editing stories to create a collection and how to market your work. Billy’s short story collection, ‘The Cape Cod Bicycle War’ will be published in June 2019. The majority of his stories are set in Kenya.
Billy Kahora lectures in Creative Writing at the University of Bristol, and previously taught writing workshops at Rhodes University and in East Africa. His short fiction and creative non-fiction have appeared in Chimurenga, McSweeney’s, Granta Online, Internazionale and Vanity Fair and Kwani. This year he’s on the judging panel of the Bristol Prize. Mike Manson from the Bristol Prize will be discussing the competition.
