Accompanied by readings from short story writers, Nastasya Parker, Mark Rutterford, and Freya Morris.

British writer Tom Vowler’s short story collection, The Method, won the Scott Prize and the Edge Hill Readers’ Prize, and his novels include What Lies Within and That Dark Remembered Day.

Tom is an Arvon tutor and associate lecturer at Plymouth University, where he completed his PhD. His second collection of stories, Dazzling the Gods, will hit the shelves on January 25th 2018. Tom edits literary journal, Short Fiction Journal and runs short story masterclasses ‘to take your writing to the next level.’

Tom says, ‘audience members will gain insights into the alchemy of a literary journal, of what an editor looks for in submissions, the relationship between author and editor, conflict that may arise. But also how I write my own stories, my craft and process, what I think makes the story come off the page.’
