Peter and Susan Barrett went to Greece in 1962 to discover if they could paint and write for a living. Their life in Greece in the 1960s and 70s led to their long and successful careers as artist and novelist. They will present at Brendon a talk describing their life in Greece at that time, as recorded by Susan’s text, Peter’s sketches and a host of black and white photographs gathered in their latest work together: The Garden of The Grandfather, Life in Greece in the 1960s. The talk will also demonstrate how they put the raw material together for publication, the mechanics of work as an artist-writer team.
