COME ALONG TO THIS SPECIAL TWO-DAY EVENT DEDICATED TO CELEBRATING AND DEVELOPING YOUR WRITING IN CONNECTION TO PLACE!
THE WRITE PLACE with Wordsmith_HQ
‘Nightmares and Daydreams’ publication launch on Friday 28th June from 6.30pm – 9pm.
‘The Write Place’ Development Day on Saturday 29th June from 9.30am – 5.00pm.
Martin Hall, Loughborough University, LE11 3TU.
This #nationalwritingday event brings together three vital aspects of writing in relation to the theme of ‘place’: writing about place in poetry and fiction, finding the time and place for your writing, and placing your writing in the industry.
Join us for:
– creative writing and personal development workshops;
– panel discussions with published writers such as Judy Leigh and Gail Aldwin;
– 1:2:1 feedback sessions on your writing with the Wordsmith_HQ team;
– networking with the wider Wordsmith community!
As part of a larger weekend of celebrations at Wordsmith_HQ, we’ll also be launching the eighth issue of The Purple Breakfast Review, ‘Nightmares and Daydreams’ on Friday the 28th. This publication celebrates the ethereal and the uncanny, with poetry and prose from twenty writers, both upcoming and established! Join us for readings, socialising and all-around celebrations!
Be part of our ever-growing community: take a look at our website for more details and a chance to book tickets! Proceeds from the event contribute to bursaries for our development days and free copies of the publication for the featured writers.
Places are limited: follow the link for more info on both events celebrating #nationalwritingday! Come along for the whole weekend or just for one day or the other! There are also bursaries available for disadvantaged writers – more info on our site.
