In this online workshop, hosted by The Art Bank Cafe, Somerset, we will look at using emotional truth as the basis for fiction writing. We’ll be looking at how we can use our own life experiences to generate poetry, flash fiction and stories. There’ll be prompts and space for experimenting, writing and sharing. Ideal for writers who want to deepen their current practice.

This workshop will be led by writer and WriteClub founder, Alison Powell. Alison’s flash fiction has been published in various magazines and anthologies, including Project Calm and To Carry Her Home. Her work has also been listed in several story, flash and novel competitions, and she was recently one of five winners in the Bath International Flash Fiction Award. In 2018 she co-edited the National Flash Fiction Day anthology and produced a series of connected flash fiction pieces in response to a residency at Alton Towers.
