There is no doubt that the last couple of years have been challenging for many . Others have found a voice, discovered new talents and have been free in spite of lockdowns.

If you’ve been stuck creatively, you just want to express something in the written form, or you have been inspired by lockdowns… These workshops are for you. We will show you ways to get your words out. Ways to be inspired. Ways to kickstart your ideas and turn them into a finished piece. Along the way we hope you will discover new ways of looking at the world around us.

Peter Roe is a prize-winning poet and flash fiction writer, a former Bard of Dorchester, he’s been widely anthologised and has two books behind him. He was recently ‘highly commended’ for his forthcoming collection “About Time” (March ‘22). Peter has a background in technology and education, he’s a frequent performer at events across the Southwest. He says “That moment of epiphany, when the light went on in someone’s eyes… They got it! I knew then I was in the right place. I love to give people confidence, a voice and the knowledge to grow”.

What do you need for these zoom workshops? A computer and a good internet connection. A pen and paper/notebook. An open mind. In return we hope to open your eyes to the joy of constant discovery and give you a different perspective on the world.

If you’re interested, there is a book you could read before these workshops. It is John Burgess’s “Ways of Seeing”. We say read but there are hundreds of pictures that show you how to spot the hidden messages in the world around us.
