Woodland Reading Workshop at TyntesfieldEvent Website
Tyntesfield’s resident poet, Holly Corfield Carr, and her guest reader, Ledbury Emerging Poetry Critic, Srishti Krishnamoorthy-Cavell, are hosting a creative close-reading workshop in Tyntesfield’s woodland this June. The workshop is the first in a summer long series responding to the legacy of eighteenth-century writer, Hannah More, who once walked and wrote poetry on the estate. The sessions will consider how feminists, environmentalists and poets might read the landscape and how we might write our own work outdoors. Tyntesfield near Bristol, is a spectacular Victorian estate, cared for by the conservation charity, the National Trust. Holly’s ‘Little Elevations’ writing workshops are part of the National Trust’s year long ‘Women and Power’ programme.
£10.00 per person, booking essential. Tickets include the workshop, access to the woodland, refreshments and a copy of Holly’s new book ‘Indifferent Cresses’.
