Join Polly Hall, author of The Taxidermist’s Lover, in this fun, creative writing workshop where you’ll explore aspects of the love story in fiction.
Does writing love scenes make you cringe? Do you want to write authentic heartfelt dialogue but don’t know where to start? Are you writing a love story and need help?
In this workshop we will:
• Help you write love scenes that sizzle!
• Flesh out the character profile of your lovers
• Conjure atmosphere for the perfect ‘meet-cute’
• Look at fictional romances in literature and why they are memorable
• Write scintillating dialogue that drives the narrative.
All writers welcome – from absolute beginners, to those who want to bring new sparkle into existing narratives.

About your facilitator:
Polly Hall is a published author and experienced adult education tutor. Her debut novel, The Taxidermist’s Lover, was the #1 New Release in Amazon’s British & Irish Horror and is a Bram Stoker Award 2020 Finalist for Superior Achievement in a First Novel. She has been published in various anthologies and commissioned as part of interdisciplinary arts projects. She holds an MA in Creative Writing and a PGCE in Lifelong Learning. She lives next to a cider factory with her cat, Vishnu.
