Join WriteClub’s Polly Hall, author of The Taxidermist’s Lover, to explore the short story form. In this 5-week online course we will immerse ourselves into the short story form of fiction and discover what makes a great short piece of writing. There will be time for writing, sharing and listening to each other’s work and opportunities to craft your stories ready to release into the world.

Writing exercises will include: How to hook your reader with the perfect first line, setting & characters, mood, point of view and fleshing out the plot with its highs and lows to reach a satisfying ending. No experience necessary.

Writers at all stages of their creative journeys are welcome. Suitable for new writers as well as those wishing to explore the short story form in more detail.

Booking essential.
