A 12-week course designed to help you develop your novel. With weekly online meetings (via the power of Zoom) that alternate between feedback and craft sessions, plus two 30 minute 1-1 mentoring sessions with Alison Powell, plus access to a dedicated online forum (using Slack), you’ll be supported to keep your writing on track and to get your novel into shape.

* Staying focused – How to prioritise your writing
* What story are you writing? – Seven basic plots
* Psychic distance – How close are you to the action?
* Character archetypes – Who’s on your team?
* Meanwhile… – writing the B story
* Experiments with form and making more of your story
If you’d like to be part of a team, working towards similar goals, to receive focused critique on your writing and to feel supported as you bring your novel to life, this is the course for you.

“Write Club really helped me to feel confident and engaged in my writing again. Ali provides a welcoming and safe space to deeply explore your writing blocks and help you to get back on your feet.” (YM)
“WriteClub is a powerful force for creativity, positivity, and community. Every session is clearly structured, but within that structure is loads of freedom to explore the given topic. Alison has a knack for asking questions that invite new answers, and I leave every WriteClub meet with new insights into my characters and myself.” (Kate)
“…it’s the best money I’ve spent on any writing-related course. I’ve learnt more about writing doing this than anything else.” – Priyesh
