Our first ever online festival, with a brilliant line-up of events to celebrate the wonders of writing and illustrating books for children and young adults. From world building and guidance on character and plot through to insight into the process of illustration and talks with publishing industry professionals and literary agents, we’ve got the whole writing and publishing process covered. Workshops can all be booked on an individual basis, or use our special combined price page to reserve your place at a selection of three.
All attendees reserving a place at this event also receive free access to An Introduction to Children’s Publishing in 2021, a video interview with Alysoun Owen, Editor of the Writers’ & Artists’ Yearbook and the Children’s Writers’ & Artists’ Yearbook. A link to the interview will be circulated by email ahead of the festival, and remain available to view for one week.
The workshops will be interactive and all authors and illustrators will encourage attendees to participate in practical writing and illustration exercises that allow you to reflect on your own work.
