The Quay Words summer programme 2019 offers opportunities for audiences to immerse themselves in words in all their forms.
Whether they are written, spoken, performed, sung or signed, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to explore words and stories with us this summer.
Our programme ranges from intimate gatherings, to events with best-selling writers such as Patrick Gale, Amanda Craig and David Constantine. We aim to inspire your reading and to get you writing through workshops, masterclasses and a short story club with our partners at the Word Factory.
There are inspirational events such as ‘Preparing for publication’ with our partners Arvon and a small presses fair featuring a range of regional and national small and independent presses: you can even print your own book bag and bookmark on the day thanks to our partners Double Elephant Print Workshop.
If you’re interested in putting pen to paper yourself, check out our range of workshops, whether it’s stage or screenwriting or short stories that get you writing, we have something to suit all tastes. Amongst others, we’re partnering on these with Papatango Theatre, The Northcott Theatre, Artemis Storytelling and the University of Exeter.
The box office goes live now, with the full range of events appearing over the next few weeks. Browse the box office and book tickets for live events, here.
