We are pleased to announce that our Annual Fund is open for applications for 2021.
Last year, we all had to think creatively about new ways to reach our audiences and access the content we’re passionate about as literature lovers in the South West. Events and opportunities quickly moved online and audiences became virtual. During this time, we were pleased to be able to support seven projects from organisations across the region who are supporting grassroots literature activity in their local communities. These projects responded to our 2020 theme, reader development, but also demonstrated adaptability and consideration of new ways of working during the pandemic. The funding awarded to these projects will mean that audiences right across the region will have access to high quality literature activities locally.
In 2021, we’re all hoping that in-person events and activities can happen, but for now we need to continue to think creatively to deliver a diverse range of rich literature experiences to communities in the region. That’s why this year, whilst we will continue to welcome all applications, we are particularly interested in projects which consider ‘the outdoors’. This could mean that your project focuses on utilising the region’s many outdoor spaces and landscapes in a creative way. You could be focusing on nature writing, or developing an outdoor literature related walk or challenge. We are interested in receiving your inventive responses to this theme and we look forward to funding more great projects this year.
The Annual Fund is open for applications to round one of funding until 7th June. You can find out more about the type of work we fund and how to apply by clicking on the button below.
