It’s eighteen days until Christmas and festive cheer is definitely in the air. Christmas shopping is well and truly under way and, as you seek out the perfect gift for your loved ones, we ask you to consider a different kind of gift this year.
This Christmas, will you give the gift of a poetry session for people living with memory loss by donating to our Challenge Fund? It costs £250 to place a trained poet in a Memory Café to deliver one of these sessions and, if you donate before 31st December 2018, Arts and Health will match-fund every pound raised to the target of £2,000. Every pound really does make a huge difference and you’ll be helping to fund twice as many Memory Café sessions across the South West.
Please help us to raise and double your money in support of our Memory Café poetry and reminiscence sessions. These sessions explore the power of poetry to ignite memories for those living with memory loss and their loved ones.
As we all prepare to spend the festive season with those we love, we’ll be sharing stories and memories. Taking part in one of our sessions, which use well-known poems which may have been learnt by heart at school, can help to unlock precious memories for those living with memory loss.
