We are pleased to announce the launch of a new series of free, bookable one-to-one advice surgeries with Literature Works mentoring.  These online sessions are available in a range of online slots on Mondays throughout June.  We will provide advice and guidance on professional development opportunities for individual writers, or how to develop your literature project or idea.

Whether you are planning an open mic, a writer visit to a school, a small festival or some other socially engaged use of stories and words, we are here to support. Do have a look at the article here by our CEO, Helen Chaloner, which gives an indication of the types of opportunity out there.

Sometimes it helps simply to have a sounding board to try out your idea.  On your behalf, we will delve into our knowledge of literature development, the many forms it takes, the networks and the funding opportunities.

These bookable one-hour development sessions will focus on these main areas –

-Funding – finding potential sources and making a convincing case

-Networks – connecting you to helpful people and projects

-Project management – such as setting budgets, planning and governance

-Evaluation, metrics and impact – the basic principles, dos and don’ts

-Audience development – making and executing a plan

-Social media and website advice

Sessions are available for #MentoringMondays on 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd June and can be booked here, on a first-come, first-served basis.

These sessions are offered free of charge. More details and booking info is available here.
