A creative writing group to explore contemporary perspectives of masculinity through writing, reading and discussions.

This pilot series of workshops will hold a space for open-minded men, and those who identify as male, in the spirit of brothership and support. Its purpose is to enrich lives and build confidence in self-expression with a sensitivity towards the politics of masculinity.

This group is a counterpart to ArtfulScribe’s SO:Write Women, where a supportive place is offered to women writers and those who identify as female.

What does it mean to be a man in the 21st Century? What can we learn about ourselves and other people? What can we offer each other by sharing ideas, exploring contemporary and historical writers, and creating new work in response to our discoveries?

If you’d like to be involved, or if you know anyone who might benefit from a weekly catch-up, particular during these times, in the spirit of togetherness, do book a place. There are flexible booking options: individual or block bookings and ‘pay what you can afford’.

The sessions will take place on 10th, 17th, 24th February and 3rd, 10th and 17th March from 7-9 pm.
