Bristol Writers Unchained’s next Story Sunday will be on October 20th from 7 to 9 pm and after a weekend of summer downpours what better time to get writing? As usual they’re looking for up to ten guests to join them and their audience at Southbank Club in Bedminster, Bristol, BS3 1DB.

They’re delighted that this event will be part of the 2019 Bristol Festival of Literature (full programme soon) and the theme is Tales of Our City.
Yes, that’s Bristol!

You don’t have to live here to submit, but your story must have a connection to Bristol or its immediate environs. Otherwise the usual ‘rules’ apply:

  • 500 -1500 words
  • Complete story/monologue/memoir please, any genre (no extracts)
  • Please only submit if you can join us on October 20th, 7 – 9 pm
  • Deadline is midnight on Sunday September 22nd
  • Submit to with ‘Our City’ in the subject line
  • Attach your piece as a Word document, docx or similar
