About the Author
Born in Cardiff and now living in North Somerset I’m an award winning short story writer, tutor and novelist. I have an MPhil in Writing from the University of Glamorgan and I write for two leading women’s magazines. I have been writing since I was 8 years old. I teach adults at Bristol and North Somerset adult education centres. I have also written two text books on how to write fiction – one on novel writing and the second on writing short stories with the emphasis on getting work published. I’m also involved in the Bristol Festival of Literature.
My first novel Missing Nancy was published in 2008. The Novel – a Perfect Recipe was published in 2010 and The Short Story – the Perfect Recipe was published in 2012. My short stories have won many awards and have been included in anthologies by, amongst others, Honno, Accent Press, the New Welsh Review, Mslexia together with various women’s magazines. I run workshops and teach creative writing, focusing on novels and short stories.
