About the Author

Kevan Manwaring is a Stroud-based writer of fiction and creative non-fiction. His writing explores notions of the mythic, the uncanny and the folkloric in the everyday. He lectures in creative writing for the Open University, Portsmouth University, and in diverse community settings. He is a guest writer for Skyros Writers’ Lab. He was an academic consultant for BBC TV’s The Secret Life of Books. He is currently working on a Creative Writing PhD at the University of Leicester. He writes for The London Magazine and is a co-judge of their 2015 Short Story competition alongside Susan Hill. He blogs and tweets as the Bardic Academic @bardicacademic
