Carla Jenkins

Carla’s debut novel Fifty Minutes was published by Hachette in May 2024 and her second novel will be published again by Hachette early in 2026. She is represented by Madeleine Milburn.

Carla is passionate about how creative writing can be used to improve mental health and is a firm believer in the therapeutic benefits of writing. She has been shortlisted and longlisted for various writing awards in the novel, memoir and short story and has an MA (distinction) in Creative Writing. She started a PhD in Creative Writing but had to put it on pause when life got too busy, but she hopes to return to it soon. Carla has years of teaching experience and professionally mentors writing students all over the world.
