I am a children’s entertainer, author, illustrator and all round good egg.
I live in sunny Weston super Mare with my wife, my beautiful daughters, two cats, and a Jack Russell called Pixie. I have been entertaining since May 2001 and I have delivered over 2,800 parties, corporate events, and shows in that time.
In my spare time, I like to perform in pantomime (oh yes I does) and perform stand-up comedy, which is the scariest thing ever. I blend my stand-up comedy and interactive entertainment style into my writing. My hobbies include playing squash, watching films and sniffing crisps.
The Astounding Adventure of Mr Bowns was originally something to do to amuse myself while backpacking around Germany. Sitting in gorgeous gothic bars I would drink beer, eat chips and garlic mayo, soak in the atmosphere and write.
I want parents to enjoy reading my books as much as children enjoy listening to them. My style is influenced by Enid Blyton’s ‘Faraway Tree’ and ‘The Wishing Chair’ stories, and I inject unexpected whimsical humour which I hope gives my books a unique feel and are a pleasure to read. My second book is a collection of short stories told by the main character in the first book. My third book is loosely based on the legend of the Weston super Mare witch and contains three self working magic tricks that the writer performs as part of the story.
I am currently working on the sequel to the first book and developing two new exciting adventure stories: one about ancient sailors and a second steampunk exploration.
