I wrote my first story when I was six years old – I sat down at my sister’s desk at wrote a story entitled “Little Lizzie and the Talking Moon”. Ever since then, I have been absolutely enraptured with transporting myself into a different world, shaping characters and identities that are otherwise physically unattainable to me. In school this led me to start my own Creative Writing Club for the younger years.
My own writing has varied massively, from boarding school stories to thrillers and it was only recently when I took a Creative Writing Course at University that I was encouraged to dive into the world of the short story. Whilst this was an area I wasn’t a particular expert on before, I’ve been absolutely loving this module. It’s enabled me to experiment with my writing in a way that I’ve never been able to, be it in style, structure, narrative voice… the list goes on.
My aim has always been to be a successful writer and I’m keen to learn from the best.
