A retired doctor, I started writing historical novels in 2014. My first novel taught me that I had much to learn before getting the novel published, therefore I shelved it and enrolled on a novel writing course. My tutor and mentor taught me so much, and I’m glad I took time out to retrain as a writer. My second completed novel attracted the attention of a literary agent, but I found the traditional world of publishing slow and frustrating. Keen to manage my own destiny, I studied the processes required for independent publishing and decided that was the route for me.
So far, I have published one novella (Winds of Change) and three novels (Running With The Wind, The Winter Years and The Second Mrs Thistlewood). I’m working on another novel and have plans for many more!
