Dr Charlie Mansfield teaches travel writers and leads research projects in place-making. Charlie taught at the University of Plymouth from 2009 to 2022. His interests are in digital heritage management, new forms of travel writing and innovative delivery methods of travel texts to visitors. He worked and wrote on a major research project on the Loire Valley and in Place Branding in the city of Nantes. He runs the #Waytales series of travel writing and tour-guiding workshops and the web-based course Travel Writers Online.
