I moved from Cornwall to London three years ago, chasing the twin dreams of living near the sea and being able to afford things.
Most recently I have been working on a novel, which got me accepted into the selective-entry Curtis Brown Creative Novel Writing course. I have found it incredibly valuable to meet a community of like-minded people with whom to workshop ideas, and we’re still in touch daily despite the course having finished. I am continuing to work away at my novel and look forward to submitting it to agents in the near future.
Prior to this I wrote, directed, and produced a comedy musical called The Miserables, about office workers who hate their jobs. I took this to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2016. The show broke even and won an award for Best Comedy, and the whole Fringe experience remains the best thing I’ve ever done.
I have contributed material to several series of Newsjack on BBC Radio 4 Extra, and also to Mslexia magazine.
