My working life has been diverse and creative – from designing and selling jewellery in Portobello Road to teaching OCN print journalism in Brighton. I loved writing comical and quirky short stories for my nieces and dark comedy YA fiction. Having received invaluable lessons from a well published author and attending writing courses, I’ve dedicated more time to writing and completed a number of works. Since moving to Cornwall, I’ve been involved with a beach clean project that inspired me to complete my children’s fantasy/environmental novel aimed at middle-grade.
I had a play read at the Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond and co-wrote a play for radio, which was picked up by a BBC producer for Radio 4. I worked as a scriptwriter and on production for Kite Maker, in collaboration with an undergraduate film-maker, Tom Bowman. Tom won a University award on graduation for this anti-bullying short film. I’m currently looking for an agent for my children’s novel and someone I can work with to help place some of my other stories.
