Hazel Prior is an author and freelance Celtic harpist. She lives on Exmoor with her husband and a huge, ginger cat. Her two novels have been described as ‘lyrical’, ‘quirky’ and ‘uplifting’. ELLIE AND THE HARP MAKER, her first book, is inspired by her love of music and the countryside. Her second novel, AWAY WITH THE PENGUINS, is about an octogenarian’s very revealing trip to Antarctica. It was a BBC Radio 2 Book Club pick. She is currently working on her third novel.
Hazel enjoys sharing what she has learned about writing and is becoming known for her book talks that include harp interludes. Sometimes she can be persuaded to perform her song, ‘Books Are Cool.’
