Nicola Pryce took up writing after a fulfilling nursing career. She lives with her husband in the Blackdown Hills in Somerset and together they sail the coast of Cornwall. She is a qualified adult literacy support volunteer and has an Open University degree in Humanities. She loves nothing better than talking about books.

Her love of Cornwall, and sailing, is reflected in her novels which are set in 1793-1800 among the harbours and clay pits on the south coast of Cornwall. She is published by Atlantic Books and represented by Teresa Chris Literary Agency. ‘Pengelly’s Daughter’ is her first novel, ‘The Captain’s Girl’ her second, ‘The Cornish Dressmaker’ is third, and The Cornish Lady was published in March 2019. Her fifth book, ‘A Cornish Betrothal’ is to be published in 2020.

Nicola is a member of the Historical Writers’ Association and the Romantic Novelists’ Association.
