My first book for children was published in 2003. Since then there have been a number of stand-alone novels, and several retellings of Shakespeare plays and other classics. My recent books have been historical fiction: Jack Fortune, in Search of the Hidden Valley was published by Alma Books last autumn, and I’ve been invited up to Edinburgh to talk about it this August. It was also selected to be part of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge. I’ve been a Royal Literary Fund Fellow at Exeter and Bristol (and formerly a teacher), and have worked with young offenders. I live in Cheddar. I blog regularly with The History Girls (http://the-history-girls.blogspot.com), and there’s lots more about my books on my website.
