Angie Sage writes fiction for older children and all ages up. No upper limit! She writes character-led, many-layered stories set in strange new worlds that have a touch of magic about them. She likes to focus on family, relationships and the way people’s lives interconnect and, as her aim is to make her work easily readable by those aged eight and upwards, she also tries wave in a fast-moving plot and a fair amount of humour too. Her big success so far has been the seven-book series, Septimus Heap, which was published in thirty three countries and got to number one on the USA NYT bestsellers list and in the UK too. Her other popular series, for younger children, is Araminta Spook (Araminta Spookie in the USA.) She is a full-time career writer and is planning to branch out into older fiction when she gets a moment draw breath.
