Katherine Stevens is a poet, playwright and theatre practitioner from Essex, currently living in Exeter and working throughout the South West. She co-runs two theatre companies, as Executive Director with young person’s theatre company The Young Pretenders, and Co-Artistic Director of female-led theatre company Flip The Bird, who toured their newest play ‘ Women Like You’ in Summer 2018, written by Katherine.
Katherine is a Resident Artist at production studio Kaleider, and has recently published her first collection of poetry, called a punch to the nose and other heart-related things. Katherine specialises in the creation of sensory, evocative work, both poetry and performance, which explores female ideologies, experiences, and relationships.
