National Memory Day, the project which celebrates the power of poetry and the positive impact of creative engagement with those affected by memory loss, will be hosting two memory cafe poetry sessions in November thanks to the kind support of the Santander Foundation.
In a continuation to the sessions which have already happened facilitated by poet Karen Hayes, these sessions will take place in libraries in Plymouth.
Following on from our successful poet training session in September at Moments Cafe in Plymouth and support by the Alzheimer’s Society, both sessions will be run by poets who attended the training.
The first session will take place on Monday 6th November between 10 am and 12 pm at Plymouth Central Library and will be facilitated by Rosemarie Corlett. The second session takes place on Friday 17th November at St Budeaux library in Plymouth between 10 am and 12 pm with Claire Coleman.
Thanks to the Santander Foundation, a further two poetry sessions will be programmed over the course of the coming weeks.
If you know or care for someone who is living with memory loss, why not join us at one of these sessions?
