These terms of use govern the relationship between you and us when you access and use our Website. By accessing and continuing to use the Website, you agree to be legally bound by these terms of use. Please note that we may update and amend these terms of use from time to time and any changes will be posted on the Website. However, it is your responsibility to ensure you review these terms of use regularly to familiarise yourself with any changes. If you do not agree with any of our terms of use then you should not use our Website.

You may be asked to agree to further terms and conditions when using specific services, for example making online donations via Just Giving, and will be governed by their terms and conditions.

ELIGIBILITY FOR JOINING SOUTH WEST WRITERS’ COMMUNITY

All forms submitted to our site for inclusion in our South West Writers’ Community here are reviewed according by our internal panel, and Literature Works reserves the right not to include a writer in our online community for reasons which will be explained in writing. Guidelines for inclusion in our South West Writers’ Academy, our platform for established writers in the South West can be viewed here. Submissions to our Writers’ Register are subject to editing to comply with our house style. This is outlined on our submission form here.

ACCESSING OUR WEBSITE AND AVAILABILITY

Access to our Website is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the service we provide on our Website without notice (see below). We will not be liable if for any reason our Website is unavailable at any time or for any period. From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts of our Website, or our entire Website, to users who have registered with us.

While we endeavour to ensure that this Website is normally available 24 hours a day, we cannot promise that our Website will be free from errors or omissions nor that it will be available uninterrupted and in a fully operating condition. SUBSCRIPTION

If you want to subscribe to our newsletters you will be required to send us your details. You may be required to register your details and/or open an account to access some areas of the Website (such as the Just Giving donations service). You undertake to complete any subscription / registration form fully, and that all information provided is up to date, true, accurate and complete.

Each subscription / registration is for a single user only. We do not permit you to share your user details with any other person nor with multiple users on a network.

If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential, and you must not disclose it to any third party. We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.

USE OF OUR CALENDAR AND DISCLAIMER

Literature Works provides this calendar to offer the most up to date information on events around the region – the information provided is user-generated and we encourage all event leaders to use this free resource. All information and imagery provided about events remains the liability of the provider and we advise readers to contact the individual event organisers for any information relating to the events.

Inclusion of any event in the calendar does not constitute Literature Work’s endorsement, recommendation or contract with the event or its organisers of any kind.

TWITTER COMPETITIONS
From time to time Literature Works will run Twitter competitions.

The prize is usually a book or books, and the nature of the prize will be stipulated in any release on the competition. If you are in any doubt about the prize available in one of our Twitter competitions and wish to confirm, please contact us.

All entrants in our Twitter competitions must follow these guidelines:

  • You must not create multiple accounts to enter our competitions. Anyone found to use multiple accounts to enter will be deemed ineligible.
  • Only tweet your entry once; posting the same Tweet repeatedly will lead to disqualification.
  • You must include an @reply in your update. We want to see everyone who has entered.

YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE

You agree that you will not use the Website in any way that may lead to the encouragement, procurement or carrying out of any criminal or unlawful activity or that is fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect.
